## The evidence behind the mission

- **77%** of developers use AI coding tools (Stack Overflow Developer Survey, 2024).
- **1.7×** more bugs in AI-generated code than human-written code (GitClear, analysis of 211M lines).
- **0** tools ran code before merge when the founders went looking, so they built one.

## Operating principles

1. **Block the merge, don't advise.** A check you can ignore is just advice. Execution is the only pre-production check that catches what static analysis cannot see.
2. **Risk = damage × spread.** A one-line change to a shared helper deserves more scrutiny than a hundred lines in a leaf module.
3. **Five real issues beat fifty uncertain flags.** A tool people learn to ignore is actively harmful.
4. **Every finding ships with an explanation and a fix.** The maintainer is the customer, not the dashboard.
5. **Built from scratch in 2026.** Tools designed for human-written code were not built for the current landscape.

## Origin, in one paragraph

One Friday afternoon a pull request written with an AI assistant passed the linter, the syntax check, and human review, and shipped an import for a library that did not exist. Production broke Monday morning; three engineers lost half a day to land a four-line fix. The founders went looking for a tool that runs code before merge, verifies imports against real registries, and maps what a change can break. There wasn't one, so they built it.
